Centres of mental health is another initiative of the Province in the field of charitable activities.. To provide better medical support about 70 mentally ill people are accommodated in various centres without any discrimination of caste, sex and creed. Those who are cured from the sickness will be sent back to their families. There are 3 institution to rehabilitate the mentally ill persons - St. Mary’s Karunya Bhavan, Pathanamthitta (men), Santhi Bhavan, Ullanadu (women), Swanthan BhavanTasgoanphatta, Sangli Mission (Women). The sisters make them self sufficient through agriculture, rosary making, host making and animal rearing.
